???? THUMBS UP TO JONNO ????

Created by Hayley 3 years ago

The first time me and fred met john was 15 years ago as he’d recently joined Redwood band as their drummer. We instantly clicked, same sense of humour, love of music and larking around and of course, from fred’s point of view, john was an avid Spurs fan!!!... what more could we ask for in a new friendship.

Over the years, our little gang, that being ourselves, john and Doreen and Ginge and Bobby Bear, have shared many many amazing fun filled times... hoildays , weekends away, seeing numerous tribute bands and acts, often staying in a premier inn overnight, to days/evenings spent at our place having a right old laugh. John and Doreen often stayed overnight and then in the morning the 6 of us all got together for a big fry-up which nearly lasted always until lunchtime.

there was always laughter and music when we were together...John was the master of face masks... he’s been so many characters over the years from Charlie Chaplin, Donald Trump to Kim Jong-un.. to many to mention!! We loved our music, all had a favourite songs and always joined in singing with each others. John had a voice so like John Lennon and we don’t think he realised how good he was despite us always telling him.. Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah!!!

John also loved his Karaoke and did a brilliant rendition of David Bowie’s Space Oddity (Ground control to Major Tom) to Elton John’s Your Song.

John always wanted everyone to have the best time possible, going that extra mile to make sure everything was as it should be ... he absolutely hated it if there was somthing not quite right and that one of us may be disappointed.

We are all gald we met you john and that you and Doreen became our friends ... you have been taken away from us far to soon and our little gang won’t be the same without you.

Thank you John for your laughter, your friendship and your love for us ... Heaven has sure got a good one!!! We miss you ... Bless you always .

Love you from Christeeeeeena and Fred XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
